Behind Wayman Art is me, Dutch abstract and figurative artist, Hilko Wegman. I was born and raised in Groningen, The Netherlands, and the last few years living in Thessaloniki, Greece.
My artworks are most noted for my exploration and use of colour and light.
My figurative and non-figurative work explores further the idea of making all areas of the painting of equal importance.
Studied at Hoger Pedagogishe Onderwijs-Windesheim in Zwolle with the direction of teaching painting and drawing but soon moved to fully study art in the Minerva Academy in Groningen. I have been painting widely in Groningen for private assignements and personal collections as well as creating custom artwork for businesses.
I love depicting my imagination within my artwork and working with others to create one-of-a-kind artwork based on their needs and wishes.
I mostly use acrylic on canvas, indian ink but also charcoal and pencil.
